comment Gigabyte GA-Z77X-D3H MB problems
I had similar problem, and with the exact same cause. In my case motherboard is Asus P8Z77-V LX, and with the bad cable it won't power on at all. Could we update this question for the sake of future Google searches to 1) start a list of known problematic hardware 2) remove not so relevant specifics?

Alright, I guess I'll be looking for another cable. Another observation: just having the cable plugged in is fine, the problems start when there's an active DP device at the other end. Sounds a bit like this one: superuser.com/questions/443063/gigabyte-ga-z77x-d3h-mb-problems --both ends sending power over pin 20, and motherboard not liking this.

One monitor connects through DVI-to-DP adapter (monitor is DVI, card is DP), this works. I have trouble only with the one which is DP at both ends. Don't have another DP cable to test at the moment.

comment What single nVidia card will drive three monitors?
@Arthur the 590 can do it (and others can't) because it has dual GPUs. A bit like SLI on one card.

Yeah, that's a solution -- hackish and brittle but works: * streamripper is also available on linux, * set up automatic playlist in Rhythmbox with 4 rules: ** Only songs from streamripper dump directory ** No songs from "incomplete" subdirectory ** Only songs added to library in last hour ** Only songs with play count = 0

Will give it a shot. Although by the same token, Rhythmbox also can both play stations and scrobble, but it has explicit checks in code not to scrobble podcasts, short tracks, etc. Also, Rhythmbox scrobbles on "song change" event, but radio stations don't generate these.
