comment ssh password authentication: use a graphical prompt?
You may be able to store the username and password as part of the repository URL. See stackoverflow.com/questions/14000173/… . Note that the password will be stored in your .gitconfig as plain text, so make it a different password from all your other passwords.

comment How do I use grep to search subdirectories too?
For future readers: many command line programs, apart from grep, also support the option "work with all sub-files and sub-folders", and that option is nearly-always called --recursive or -r or -R.

comment How to limit number of characters per line in MIcrosoft Word 2011?
@Will: If you are going to convert it to plain text with no formatting, you might as well write the document in a plain-text editor that supports hard line wraps.

comment How to limit number of characters per line in MIcrosoft Word 2011?
That's an odd requirement and I'm not aware of any way to achieve hard line wrapping (\n) in MS Word. Generally hard line wrap is a feature reserved for programmer's text editors like Notepad++. Does he want 80-character lines specifically, or is he really trying to enforce limits on font size and margins?

For future readers - power supply issues are a common cause of "random re-starting under heavy load". Replacing the power supply, possibly with a higher-wattage model than the original, will often solve the problem.

comment PC power usage related to power supply
Your question as originally posted was about general reasons why people would want to buy big power supplies. If you now have a separate question about what power supply you need for your specific needs, post a new question.
