comment How can I copy nytimes.com slideshow images to the clipboard?
@JeffAtwood: Though I agree with your statement that it would be (in many cases) an unnecessary increase in complexity, that does not negate the fact that using an intermediate proxy may be, in some circumstances, the only reasonable way to capture this content.

The Fiddler solution will work with ALL browsers, and even if the resources are loaded through flash or some other embedded object, as long as they are loaded through HTTP or HTTPS. With Fiddler, the procedure is done the same way, every time. Otherwise the procedure is slightly different based on the website, or the browser. I'm not saying this is the easiest solution, just a good universal alternative.

comment How inaccurate must the clock's time be for NTLM requests to be denied due to the time being incorrect?
In our case, we found that AT&T Communication Manager was blocking a machine's attempts to synchronize the time via NTP from the domain controller. After uninstalling AT&T Communication Manager, the time was able to sync and NTLM authentication requests were then allowed. This only affects Windows 7/Server 2008 R2 clients that are accessing Windows 7/Server 2008 R2 servers, or any machine that has the Extended Protection for Authentication hotfix installed and enabled.

comment How to fix 0x7b error on virtual PC, converted from 64bit Windows 7 with disk2vhd?
VMWare server is free (with registration) and VirtualBox is free, both of these should work, but you must be running a 64-bit host operating system for them to run 64-bit guest. Also, there is a flag for virtualization extensions on your processor that has to be turned on in your BIOS to make this work (Intel-VT or AMD-V ).

This is not correct. See Microsoft KB article 976918, and the excerpt that I added into the question. support.microsoft.com/kb/976918

comment Windows 7: Disable Lock Workstation After 10 Minutes Using Group Policy
Even more reason why you should contact whomever administers the domain group policy, and explain the situation to them so they can modify the policy files.

comment Windows 7 Unable To Delete Folder in “Programs Files”
You could also try to delete the folder in Safe Mode and see if it allows you. Also, as a last resort, you could boot from the Windows CD and enter repair mode or boot from a Linux Live CD and try there.
