The normal keys (play/pause etc) work fine.

The one which launches the AlienFX configuration software. In principle, shouldn't there be a way of capturing any unusual extra key?

Okay so changing the name worked. Apart from making life more difficult, what's the difference?

comment How do I make my script ask for a password, like sudo?
Thanks. Quick follow-up: my test is ((su $USER >/dev/null 2>&1) && echo ok) || echo no which prints "no" when the password is wrong and prints NOTHING when the password is right. Why is this, do you know?

Testing it now, seems like -c "echo -n" is redundant. Is my ubuntu abnormal in that regard?

If someone is already tunning a root shell that won't work. I don't want admin privileges, I want to reverify the password. Overlapping but not equivalent problems.

comment Linux GeForce GTX driver is underreporting RAM and underperforming in general
Ubuntu does not have an xorg.conf. I'm pretty sure everything is up-to-date, although I don't know how to find the driver build number.

comment Processor remains underclocked even under load
Thanks. I had to install cpufrequtils first, and the stats say 2Ghz has been reached sometimes. Does this mean that until now there were no governors, so the frequency was stuck?
