Rule of thumb for robust source code: Never assume this line will work as intended when writing the next. Be prepared for surprises.

comment Windows 7 taskbar groups to use vertical menus only, not thumbnails?
PS: It's annoying how the vertical list and thumbnail lists do not animate into each other. As a workaround, I disabled Animations in the taskbar and Start Menu so that the animation behavior is consistent between the two (no animation at all).

NumThumbnails = 2 seems perfect to both take advantage of thumbnails when there are only 1 or 2 windows (you could switch by clicking the left or the right one), and get rid of them when there are 3 or more (where the vertical list is better than the thumbnail list). Thanks :D

comment Menu command stuck on screen
I just had a balloon tip's shadow stuck on screen (on top of everything else!). Changing resolutions didn't work for me, but changing color depth did. I switched the depth to 16-bit, then back to 32-bit. That seemed to do the trick.

comment Can't remove certain fonts in Windows 7
Some fonts may have multiple files (b, z, i, l, etc). You will have to remove all of them to fully uninstall the particular font.

I've had my computer on for almost 2 days, and jusched did not burn even a second's worth of CPU. Dropbox on the other hand burned 3 hours, Chrome 1.5 hours, explorer 1+ hours. I really think you have more important things to worry about. But have you tried this?: superuser.com/a/419550/117986

Hate is a strong word. Many things running in the background are usually harmless, some are even essential. It's a myth that all programs need to be terminated when not in use - sometimes doing so will only make things worse. There are situations where memory-resident programs make your experience better. Of course, it doesn't mean you have to let anything and everything running in the background - but find the right balance. Hence my question, do you have performance issues on your computer? (About task scheduler, it doesn't always work as you intend & hardly any program uses it for updates.)

Why do you want to rid of it? As far as I can tell, jusched.exe hardly burns any CPU at all. It's just sitting there, idle. Are you having performance issues on your computer?

comment Multiple Antivirus Software
Just for info of future readers: When downloading Adobe anything from Adobe's official site, be sure to uncheck "Yes, install McAfee" option before clicking Download. This gives you a smaller download that doesn't have McAfee bundled.

comment Can I sleep one of the displays on a dual-monitor setup (running Windows 7)?
This does exactly what Win-P does. Perhaps Win-P is more intuitive and faster than right-clicking Ultramon and selecting "Disable Secondary". It doesn't do what the original asker asked for, which is to just turn off one monitor but not disable it and not move windows around (while keeping the other one turned on). I'm also looking for the same thing and I'm disappointed Ultramon is not the answer. My search continues.

@missingfaktor I sometimes get this after a recent update to either my graphics card driver or Adobe Flash. I will just restart the computer and the problem will be gone. There was no need to disable hardware acceleration (which you must have enabled to ensure full use of your graphics card by Flash). Restarting the computer is a recommended "first-aid" when solving computer problems =)
