Sudden slow read & write speed on all IO @DavidSchwartz Sure, the OP was not specific on how he measured the temperature, so that could be plausible, but I still would be very surprised to see a 20C difference in case and core temp. |

Sudden slow read & write speed on all IO Tjmax is when throttling occurs, and it certainly isn't 75c for this model CPU. Also the OP stated that he only reaches this temperature during gaming. |

A 0 byte file is created on desktop @JdeBP It is very likely that it is actually called nul seeing as how he can't delete it. nul is a reserved word in the Windows filesystem and can't normally have files by this name. Trying doing mkdir nul and watch what happens. |

Is there something like a BIOS in Windows 8? Yes, your answer doesn't reflect this information, however, and I think that it should clearly state that BIOS is separate from Win8 in order to accurately respond to the question. |

Is there something like a BIOS in Windows 8? I'm not sure why this answer has been accepted over the other response , as this does not answer is there something like BIOS in Windows 8? |

Change to home directory in PowerShell As an add-on to this answer, %UserProfile% does not literally translate to $home, and, instead, you should use the $env:UserProfile variable. |

Why is my network path not accessible via Windows Shell? \\MACSERVER\ is really not a valid UNC path, because it's supposed to be \\SERVER\SHARE; the Windows explorer just does a bit of magic and checks if you've typed in a server name, and shows all of the directories it's sharing. Are you running the shell 'As Administrator'? |

Hp Laptop HDMI display to 26" Element Flat Screen 1920x1080 Not working properly elementelectronics.com/support_docs/eldht241/… Shows you have an "Aspect" button, but perhaps yours doesn't. If your screen shots are at the right resolution, then it's a problem with your TV's configuration and not your computer. |

Hp Laptop HDMI display to 26" Element Flat Screen 1920x1080 Not working properly I'm assuming you have a "P.Mode" (Picture mode) on your remote, does it change anything? How about the aspect ratio button? |
