comment Shockwave througth http proxy on windows
that's somewhat strange that the adobe plugins don't seem to honour the proxy settings, this is why outgoing traffic must be redirected on tcp level. Did you try reroute outgoing TCP/80 to the ctnlm listening port?

comment Finding default gateway in an openvpn environment in windows
Ah thats perfect :-) But I do not understand why. When I wrote "\<0.0.0.0\>.\<0.0.0.0\>" did it make findstr stop looking after the first '\>' ?

Is there anything common among the installations, e.g. a security tool, any kind of domain membership or whatsoever? Are you using the latest MSDN installer source?

comment Re-reading the partition table failed with error 22: invalid argument
just to let me get it straight, you try to create partitions inside a msdos-style partition? /dev/sda2 represents already a partition on your hdd. If this is really what you want, I don't know the answer. Otherwise you maybe whish to create partitions on /dev/sda instead

I marked your answer, because we will reconsinder saving sensitive data in confluence. Maybe we will use Truecrypt containers on a network volume

Hello Zac, thanks for your feedback. In general we do trust our employees and admins, but there is stuff which is not for their eyes. We would have the same problem on any computer system, if someone can become superuser, she could read the data. So either way we would need encryption. In this case we look at the wiki like a folder on a fileserver. Even there the admin could read the files. At this point you would want to protect certain data. We're not trusting a bunch of users to encrypt their stuff, but we want to be able to protect certain data for certain users.I need to think about it.
