comment change default username when ssh to another pc
For myself, I have a single User line in the file and this set it globally. No Host required.

comment How do I save an excel spreadsheet as a semi-colon separated values file?
I don't think it can be done entirely in Excel. Excel hides the formating (tabs) so you wouldn't be able to replace them. After replacing them with semi-colons you wouldn't be able to open with excel either (it'd just be one giant cell)

comment VPN conflict with Mac's Internet Sharing
It might also have something to do with the order that connections get turned on because the VPN will be pushing route commands to your machine. Maybe if its VPN then Internet Sharing then IS will over write the pushed VPN routes. While IS first then VPN would make sure that the VPN routes don't get over written.

Maybe make note of the output of the route command while working and while broken and look for differences.

Do you have the subnets on the two networks? Do they overlap?

comment Why can't my Browser resolve host, but ping and nslookup can?
have you rebooted? Sometimes browsers try internet before wireless has come up all the way and then don't notice that internet has started to work again. Closing browser or rebooting usually fix this.

comment is pfSense suited for my setup?
I used to be an IT consultant, I've put DD-WRT in near 50 SMB office environments and have had near 0 issues, usually on that same WRT54G (or the WRT54G-L). I've also had great success with PFsense too, i set it up for my current work as well as a couple of my larger clients.

Its odd that you'd still have the issue with DD-WRT on that router. I've run it in much larger environments with success. Possibly a bad router or poor internet connection? pfSense would be a good next step then if you have the hardware already.

comment Is there a way to clear the cache for router?
try pinging something over the internet to see if you are getting high packet loss/what your speed is. ping -t 8.8.8.8 This problem sounds like its on your service providers end
