You opt to leave the Home Folder when removing the account. Feel free to test on another account first.

comment How can I serve Subversion repository contents on the web?
That works only if you want to constantly take the extra step of going to the checked out repo and manually calling svn update. If your working in real-time and would like to see changes on the fly that will get old real fast.

Correct thats the update from Snow Leopard to Lion. All you need is a retail copy of Snow Leopard DVD. There are tutorials on that site to use iBoot, your retail DVD disc, and multi-Beast to get OSX installed on an Intel based machine. Take a look around.

Its not "illegal", for your own personal uses and experimentation you can do with the legally purchased software as you please. wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page

In any event you dont need driver to configure a modem, there has to be an online interface you can access. Have you tried calling CNET to see if they can forward you a user guide or to ask them how you can configure it via IP?

comment How to crop image to new file?
In either event there are multiple ways to skin a cat and get the result you want. You can crop and then revert or you can use copy/paste. The rotating of images that has to be done with either solution just one has less steps to return you back to your starting point

comment How to crop image to new file?
You can rotate an image by going into EDIT >> TRANSFORM >> ROTATE I believe. This will allow you to manipulate the position of the original image. The use the marquee tool and select your area and copy/paste...

Or if your more comfortable with Crop then open the History viewer and after you do your crop click on the top of the history to return to the original image in one keystroke.

Rotate the original image as you need >> Select Area >> Copy >> Paste into new Doc.

Yes that tool. Once you paste it in a new doc you can rotate all you want. The use of Crop is overkill.

comment How can I lower the maximum resolution on Vista?
Does it allow you to adjust the resolution with greater control over the general windows settings? When I had a Win machine I also had an nVidia card and in the control panel it gave me nearly twice as many different resolution settings.

comment How can I sync files from home with files at school?
I agree with Daniel, Dropbox is the best solution. You upload the files once and the files will be synced automatically on any machine that has the dropbox client installed, no need to manually download anything. I use this all the time to centrally store files, code snippets, etc..

comment Replacing 1 laptop monitor with another
Yea it may be a tough go, alot of things have to match up like both have the same voltage requirements, same connectors, same resolution, same mounting hardware, etc... The other LCD may power on with the other laptop but it may not fit or mount like the original did.

Do you mean swap the LCD screens, not "monitors"? A little clarity on the issue please.

comment Uninstall / Remove Ruby on Rails server Macbook Pro
No worries, just keep in mind there may be packages down the road that rely on some of those components, reinstalling is pretty easy if you decide to leave PHP for Rails =)
