comment How to delete all glacier data?
Glacier is not S3. They're both part of Amazon Web Services and they're both used to store files, but they have different use-cases, payment structures, restrictions and APIs. Because of this, S3 tools don't work with Glacier and Glacier tools don't work with S3 (though that's not to say there aren't tools out there that are both S3- and Glacier-compatible, written with distinct network handlers and app logic for each service).

comment How can I disable HTML5 content in popular browsers like Firefox and Chrome?
@kinokijuf HTML5 is not just a buzzword— it's a collection of technologies that adhere to formal specs put out by the W3C, found here: w3.org/TR/html5 . Likewise, “HTML5 audio/video” are specific standards for encoding audio & video and presenting them in web browsers (using HTML5's <audio> and <video> tags). More information on HTML5 audio & video on Wikipedia: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTML5_Audio / en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTML5_video

comment Moving the swapfiles to a dedicated partition in Snow Leopard
On newer OS Xes (10.10, but not 10.8, unsure about 10.9), com.apple.dynamic_pager.plist is in XML format in a stock installation— both the sudo plutil -convert … lines are unnecessary.

comment Using Multiple SSH Public Keys
Adding IdentitiesOnly yes to the very top of one's SSH config file seems to affect all entries and will only try ~/.ssh/id_rsa if there isn't a matching Host entry— which seems to be to probably be the desired behavior for most workstation use-cases.

comment Mountain lion and git-completion
Strangely, a Zero Width Non-Joiner character (U+200C) got inserted in the middle of the URL in my last comment. Try the URL of this link instead: github/git/git/v1.8.5.2/contrib/completion/git-completion.bash.

The command as originally written fails on OS X 10.8.5 w/ normal user permissions (`Failed to create the file /.git-completion.bash: Permission denied`). @obvio171's comment is spot-on: tilde please.

I would suggest changing the URL to https://raw.githubusercontent.com/git/git/v1.8.5.2/contrib/completion/git-compl‌etion.bash in order to grab the completion script matching ML's Git version (1.8.5.2).

I have this exact same question for OS X. If anyone knows of an parallel question on SuperUser or AskDifferent, a link would be greatly appreciated— else I'll open a new question (sooner or later).

comment How to dump memory to a file in gdb (osx)? Need to rescue my work
sourceware.org/gdb/onlinedocs/gdb/Core-File-Generation.html seems to suggest that it isn't implemented on OS X.
