comment How do I choose which router to connect to with the same SSID?
1. sudo iwconfig wlan0 essid MySSID_NAME ap f8:1a:67:aa:7f:b9 says "SET failed on device wlan0 ; Operation already in progress." but it ain't. I am disconnected. 2. sudo iwconfig wlan0 key s:Your_WEP_password says "Error for wireless request "Set Encode" (8B2A) : SET failed on device wlan0 ; Invalid argument.". Don't know why. I am disconnected from the network and I have changed ESSID, BSSID, Password at appropriate places.

comment VMware Authorization service not running
If you read the comments on the original question, you would know that I had already tried to run the service as admin. So, this ain't a valid answer. :)

Seems like it ain't working for me, I tried on multiple systems. I always have some sort of error in any one of the steps.

comment Windows 8.1 Update 1 locked me out of bios, what to do?
System does NOT boot too fast, it seems. I do see a blinking "_" in the beginning, but I don't see the message "Press Esc for boot menu..." now. I still try to press ESC but that does nothing. I really have no idea why.

1. I don't have UEFI. 2. ESC worked before.

comment How do I choose which router to connect to with the same SSID?
This is interesting. I'll try it for sure, but one thing I notice is it says WPA credentials, the network I am talking about is on WEP, it will still be the same?

@Bob, I made the question Linux only, but I don't think that specific question has a good solution already. How can I get the Kubuntu's wireless utility on Ubuntu?

comment Applying custom style to internal Chrome pages
Try adding "run_at": "document_start" in manifest.json file. That will load the js before the page loads and technically, that is before all the other extensions load (if they don't have run_at by themselves). I am not sure this would work.

@RamRachum Here, I have edited it. It should now work. Just read the "Edit" part at the end.

Okay, Thanks for correcting me. But I thought they did, coz I remember I did something similar for Dev Tools.

Yes, you are right. I just realized that Google disabled running of Content Scripts on Chrome's internal pages. So far, I have found no way to modify Internal Pages.

comment Windows 8 reports WRONG uptime (possibly total Hybrid-Boot uptime)
This seems to me like a nice solution.

comment Adding Windows 7 VHD back to multiboot in Windows 8
I wasn't able to do this, and I left it thereafter. Though, I have something in my mind now. You can add the VHD to bootloader and make it default using msconfig, then run the Windows 7 Boot Recovery mode to fix all bootloader errors.

comment Chrome does not re-draw properly on Windows 8
Its not a driver issue. I have disabled the dedicated graphics card on this machine when I installed Windows 8 because it was using too much of power. I have Intel HD 3000 running, with latest drivers that are built for Windows 8 64Bit (My system config).

I have not upgraded from Win 7 to Win 8. This is a fresh install on Windows 8.

comment Chrome does not re-draw properly on Windows 8
@handuel Well, that's not a solution. I use ALL the browsers. Chrome being primary. This problem is nearly gone with the v27 of Chrome.

comment VMware Authorization service not running
Firstly, as @Luke said, URL Only answers are not good. Secondly, I have mentioned in the question that I tried starting the service in services.msc so this basically isn't the solution! Third, I actually did a whole Windows reinstall to fix it. But I still need an answer as this question is frequently asked.

comment Monitor/Track data sent over internet by an application
That video is just too basic, I know all that. The thing is that on port 2100, I am unable to view the traffic. Fiddler has all the things I want but doesn't work with custom ports. Wireshark shows the requests, but I am unable to read them.
