Thanks Gary, you are correct. I was using impdp, but mistyped impdb into the question above because I could not cut and paste from the computer having the problem. I was using a script, so I am sure it was impdp.

comment Why does MTP work on one machine, but not another?
The Zen is connected directly with no hub in both cases. Thanks for the tip, but I have never needed to use a hub.

The computer that works has WMP 9. I have tried WMP 9, 10 and 11 on the one that doesn't, with no change.

comment Windows equivalent of whereis?
This does not work for me. For example, the exp command is in my path, but dir/s exp or dir /s exp.exe just gives "File Not Found".

comment Change Cygwin Prompt
~/.bashrc does not get executed for a login shell. update ~/.bash_profile instead. I use the following prompt string, which has some other useful information, not just the path: PS1='[\e[32m]\t [\e[33m]\w [\e[31m]\! [\e[0m]\$ '

comment How can a computer with dynamic IP work as a webserver?
I tried to use dyndns.com from my Linksys WRT54G router, and dyndns claimed I was updating too frequently and kicked me off. Linksys was not interested in fixing this bug. So you may have to run the update program from dyndns on your PC, not the one built in to your router.
