comment Search in Vim's undo history
In Feature request: Search through undo history, the author of the Undo-tree plugin suggested a simple algorithm that could be used to implement this functionality in Vim: loop until undo is not available { search "the string"; undo one step; }. Undo status is available through Vim’s undotree() function.

comment MacVim / Vim retain content of all buffers (like Sublime Text). Preserve swap?
Your suggestion, to make sure buffers is in 'sessionoptions', does not cause the contents of a “No Name” buffer to be saved and restored. In fact, buffers was already in the list. I added set sessionoptions+=buffers to my vimrc to be sure, and tried both :mksession/:source and :SaveSession/:OpenSession, but buffer contents are still lost.

comment Export File Syntax Highlighting to HTML Using Vim
About :TOhtml: if you have a file hello.c open, :TOhtml will open a new buffer editing the nonexistent file hello.c.html, containing HTML with syntax-highlighting CSS in it. You can run :wq to save that HTML file and close the new window.

comment Export File Syntax Highlighting to HTML Using Vim
You can almost use :argdo, like :argdo TOhtml | wq. But while that exports the HTML files, they aren’t highlighted, because “while this command is executing, the Syntax autocommand event is disabled [to] speed up editing each file.”
