The rear part of the pins are HP proprietary (HP Proliant system board). I am not sure it it is safe to plug that into a PCIe x16 slot, possibly killing the motherboard...

It somehow fixed itself after updating $PATH and several logout/logins. Still not sure why it was behaving that way tho

And for the exception, the certificate can only be used for this particular common name (FQDN) and cannot be used as a CA to sign other sites.

that's why it's called an exception. I don't trust the CA to sign for every website. But I need the website whose cert signed by this CA to work without the warning.

Oh well I guess CIFS/SMB is interchangeable in many cases... And you even mentioned SMB in the answer.... When I say slower, it is kinda implied extracting to local hard drive is a lot faster....
