This is kind of a non-answer. Writing a good looking resume in LaTeX is much harder than doing it in WYSIWYG editor, if you are a non-programmer, which I assume OP is (given he uses Adobe Acrobat). Answers like this is akin to "Hardware XY doesn't work well on windows XP. What to do?" - "Install linux."
