comment How can I delete a symbolic link?
just delete it through windows explorer, deleting anything that has a little shortcut arrow on it will only remove the link regardless of whether you used mklink.

comment Windows 7 display profiles shortcuts for switching monitor setups
Are you SURE Win+P doesn't work for you? That was my assumption at first, but I realized if I re-arranged which ports each of my 3 displays was plugged into I could get the exact setup your describing. Computer only = Monitor 1, Extend = Monitor 1 + Monitor 2, Projector Only = Monitor 3 + Monitor 2.

comment FFmpeg convert video w/ dropped frames, out of sync
It's really situation dependent, I find that the best way to trouble shoot that kind of thing is to incrementally try minor adjustments to my method until I find the point at which it works so I can better understand what's going on.

comment Redirect URLs in Chrome?
@Synetech No, I'm, not. Under certain circumstances, there is no difference You're just wrong, they are two COMPLETELY different things. Putting an entry in your hosts file pointing Domain A to IP X changes what Domain A RESOLVES to, that does not REDIRECT anything because it never goes to the original IP. REGARDLESS, that WOULD NOT solve anything, putting an entry for www.google.com with the IP address for encrypted.google.com into your hosts file would result in Chrome trying to load www.google.com from the wrong IP, it would not REDIRECT (i.e. the address would remain www.google.com)

the keyboard shortcuts are fine but I think it's important for the reader to make a visual connection between the urls to better understand their usage.

comment Redirect URLs in Chrome?
@Synetech You're confusing redirecting with resolving, changing the IP address that an address resolves to will not work in this case. He wants to redirect to a different domain, not try to load that domain name on the wrong web server.

@Saman Soltani Run this from a dos prompt: net show That shows you the machines visible on the network, then : net show SOMEMACHINE Will list the available shares on the Computer names SOMEMACHINE. If you don't see those hosts in Windows Explorer then try hitting Windows-Key + r (opens a run dialog) and then type in \\SOMEMACHINE and hit enter, that should open a Network Window showing the shares from that machine.

@Ramhound Why even bother commenting? I can appreciate sarcasm but if you can't come up with anything better then you should wait till you think of something.
