Have you tried using a third party tool to simply synchronise the folder contents?

Starting with the obvious - have you done any checks for spyware/malware/virus's? It seems symptomatic of such an issue.

comment What should I take into account when underclocking Intel i5-750?
Voltage is the primary factor that determines CPU temperature, however I wouldn't recommend changing it if you're not experienced/have no idea what you're doing.

comment How to setup firefox to display websites in their native language?
I certainly don't change ANY language settings when I connect via VPN, and it is just a standard windows VPN connection, so I very much doubt it modifies the headers. The page you linked to displays 100% in English through my VPN.

I disagree with the statement that the vast amount don't use geo. When I am connected through my VPN in Amsterdam, pretty much EVERY site I visit (major or minor) displays in Dutch rather than English, despite no language change.

I'm betting that's the cause of your problem. Let me know how it goes.

I'd consider that a pretty major problem (not to mention an odd one)! Have you done a Spyware/Adware scan?

Tried it on Chrome at my office as well - no problems there either. How strange! Anything else abnormal about your Chrome installation?

The problem doesn't lie with the browser, the websites often display what they THINK you should be looking at based on your country.

It doesn't detect your browser language, it works by geolocation (reverse lookup of your IP) to work out which country you're in.

I presume you're running the latest build of chrome? I just tried this on one of my other machines and it doesn't do it on that one either...

Perhaps try disabling "Use a prediction service to help complete searches and URLs typed in the address bar" also? Edit: What platform are you on? I just tried the same search as you listed and it worked fine for me, with autocorrect options enabled. Edit 2: Have you tried disabling all extensions (if you have any)?

Your question is a bit vague. What are you actually asking? Are you asking if it 's possible for your computer to run 3 virtual machines simultaneously so your friends can all play LoL?

comment How can I configure Firefox to assume I have less memory?
Perhaps try timeout (github.com/pshved/timeout) instead? It allows you to limit child processes also, which could be causing the error (i'm referring to Firefox's plugin container).

I'm not aware of a Firefox setting to limit the entire applications memory itself, but you could manually do it in Linux using the setrlimit command (linux.die.net/man/2/setrlimit) or if you're uncomfortable doing that, you could use softlimit (cr.yp.to/daemontools/softlimit.html) to limit FF's RAM usage.
