comment Checking for changes on Linux live OS's
although you are using Kali, this is better suited over at a linux/server forum.

I think Powershell is the replacement.

I don't think that the OP has access to the router settings.

Is there a reason why you want to protect yourself from DHCP?

comment Blocking rogue DHCP in network
In other words, don't use DHCP. The potential problem is if you use an IP that the DHCP assigns to another machine. Otherwise, it is the way, as a client, to defend against a DHCP.

comment How can I convert a domain controller account to local account for forensic analysis?
The core question is about OS functionality - you are going to use that information for forensic purposes, but it is an OS question. What I'm saying is that there may be better people to answer in the OS-specific SE forum. Just as "technical support" questions are off-topic, questions about technology (OS) specifics are better asked in the other forums as they are specialized for that purpose.

comment How can I convert a domain controller account to local account for forensic analysis?
Although you are doing forensic analysis, this really is a Windows OS question (converting accounts and gaining access to files).

comment Split Wireless Card For Fake Access Point?
Although you want to use this for InfoSec, the question itself is not an InfoSec question, but a OS question (connecting to 2 different wifi networks).

This is a Windows-specific config question and not an InfoSec question, even though there could be InfoSec implications.

This is a networking question, not an InfoSec question - voting to migrate

@Wulfire you are absolutely correct, but that can't be migrated because of the bounty. You will also see that the detailed answer references ServerFault.

comment How to increase delay of ssh root access every time login fails
@Wulfire The question is "how do I protect myself" which is a general question. The answer is general with specific tool mentions. The question is also 2.5 years old and the community has shifted a little since then. Your question is "how do I do this in Linux?"

comment How to increase delay of ssh root access every time login fails
Exactly. Your question has security implications, but the heart of it is a specific configuration/tool question, which is off topic here and better suited for SuperUser.

comment How to increase delay of ssh root access every time login fails
As this is a specific Linux configuration question, I'm voting to migrate to SuperUser.

comment Extraneus message about security risk when I open a new Chrome tab
Your question is a little confused: it is both a phishing technique and an indication of malware installed (likely in a Chrome extension if it went away when you switch to Firefox). Aside from that, you should have a professional look at your machine to determine if the infection was greater than just the browser. Or just nuke your computer and rebuild (you DO keep backups, right?)

comment What happens to a site that is NOT in trusted sites?
Although this is a privacy question, it might be a better fit over at SuperUser? It's highly specific to the internal workings of Windows.
