comment Control linux console session keyboard over ssh
Awesome. I can see some glitches though: Selecting some text isn't persistent. I can't cut and paste, for example. Is this something known?

comment Install Windows 8.1 in virtualbox from a recovery partition?
@MilindR X1 Carbon User Manual, "Using the Rescue and Recovery workspace": lenovo.com/shop/americas/content/user_guides/carbon_ug_en.pdf, page 73 (or 59 in the document).

comment Install Windows 8.1 in virtualbox from a recovery partition?
@MilindR If you try to use the Recovery partition in another computer, it won't work. And, perhaps, it is illegal as well. I am not sure. Accessing the Recovery in the new(er) X1 Carbon (2nd Gen) is done right after Turning on the machine (some F-key or similar brings you to a couple of choices).

comment Install Windows 8.1 in virtualbox from a recovery partition?
@MilindR I have kept all of the partitions (except for the one in which the OS was already installed). I will try to re-investigate. I think that, what you are describing, is an option. Well, everything is, somehow :-). There is also a post in the lenovo forums which describes how to deal if someone buys a new hdd. Beause everything is harnessed on the hardware, changing the hard disk, and copying/mirroring the partition layout and content into the new disk, renders the Recovery process useless. Unless something is changed. I don't remember the details out of the top of my head.

@MilindR Can you, please, elaborate a bit on your idea?

I can't identify any dedicated Lenovo button in the new X1 Carbon! You mean some kind of a soft-button?
