Allocating non-contiguous free space to an existing partition I have an annoying message at boot, I'd like to have swap, what's the alternative to the swapoff command? |

Allocating non-contiguous free space to an existing partition All worked but the last bit with the UUID is it necessary? I'm on a VM. g@g-ubuntu-64:~ $ sudo swapoff /dev/sda5
swapoff: /dev/sda5: swapoff failed: Invalid argument |

Monitor weirdness/flickering with new Vaio PCG-3112L You might have discovered it by now but the VGA port of Vaio's is crappy. I have a Vaio VPCCW and when I use the VGA port to connect a monitor its fuzzy, flickering lines and all.. |

Upgrade laptop CPU from i3-330M to i5-whatever so if mine is PGA it would be relatively easier... I m wondering if i just open it if I can see what it actually is... (also chipset) |

Upgrade laptop CPU from i3-330M to i5-whatever Thanks, so to sum up it's a risk given that you can't know if it will work or not.. |

Upgrade laptop CPU from i3-330M to i5-whatever I was looking that with 50$ I could go to 8GB of ram, then 150$ for an SSD and it would already look faster.. I'd need at least 600-700 for a new decent laptop (and it wouldn't be Vaio..) |

Running Ubuntu with a WIN7 VM in order to use Photoshop I have 4Gigs, yes. (I put a link towards my complete system specs). Would it be better to have Windows run natively and Ubuntu in the VM? I run Xubuntu which is relatively light.. I think Photoshop would work much better natively (on any machine) |

Could I hook up 2 external monitors to my Vaio vpccw2s1e? I couldn't find the small vga you are talking about.. the HDMI is rather small already, most of the space is because of the VGA's screwfixes |

How to login on my corporate network using a personal device I don't know if I am going to do it but it's good to know how it can be done for educational purposes. I guess to do that I will need WireShark or something similar? I have the proxy IP userpass details as this is something we have to use in order to use the external web (internet) |
