comment Win 10 64 bit update requirements 64Bit cpu (CMPXCHG16b, PrefetchW and LAHF/SAHF)
I think you are worrying too much. The i5's are relatively recent and will be fine. However, a general rule of thumb is not to run 64bit unless you have >4GB of RAM, the overheads can make things run slower rather than faster. Windows 32bit can only directly access slightly less than 4GB so only if you go over that is it worth going 64bit

comment How to use legacy monitors with single Mini DisplayPort output
The USB docks don't have low colour depth issues, I've used them a lot. They are great for standard office use and the USB3 versions happily drive 2 decent monitors with no noticeable lag. That applies to watching video too, even HD is fine. But I wouldn't expect to be able to run HD games. Just be aware of the limitations.

comment How to use borders in Outlook 2010 responses?
Ha ha, had an MD with an Aston Martin once, that was always in the shop - of course, he should have known better than to buy one second-hand off a footballer! BTW, I should mention I'm British so please watch what you say about our sports cars, we get rather defensive! Of course, you might want to try Maclaren, Lotus, etc. Pretty much all the F1 cars are designed and built here :)

comment How to use borders in Outlook 2010 responses?
I can't say I'm surprised honestly. Outlook is an appalling piece of junk quite frankly. There are also still far too many people who think HTML email is the devils spawn and so there seems little incentive for email clients to improve.

comment Is there a way to update automatically a worksheet based on a link which provided a file for download
The correct way is to do this with a web query as you've already discovered. It isn't clear why you want to have an app that creates a CSV when you don't need to do this.

comment Can running two cat 5e cables mprove speed between two routers?
You might want to look at how you've routed the cable. CAT5 can be very sensitive to sharp bends and pressure on the cable. You might also want to consider how things are earthed. You might be getting some significant interference between the upstairs and downstairs by being on separate earth's. To be honest, to really sort these kinds of issues, you probably need access to a decent cable tester. You might get better results by moving the 2nd router closer and putting the switch upstairs. Also make sure your 2nd router isn't so cheap that it's letting you down.

comment Excel formula for checking if a string is a substring of another string and if so, creating a hyperlink
Instead of altering things (a hard'ish problem), how about simply highlighting any inconsistencies as this is an easy problem? Then you could simply visually scan through for any issues.

comment UEFI, encryption and system access
I recommend that you head on over to our sister site Information Security and ask there if you really want all the gory detail. In summary, UEFI is designed to work with Trusted Platform Module (TPM) chips which provide hardware security. However, it doesn't store the things you've mentioned, they are stored in the OS's filing system, one reason you need to have an encrypted filing system.

comment Unexplained password prompt on Windows 8.1 Pro, SharePoint?
ODfB is called groove.exe and you will find it in your startup, look in task manager. Should be able to disable from there. For the others, make sure Windows Update is up to date, create a system restore point, reboot then delete the odd networks and see if that helps. If not restore back. Doesn't take long.

Excel 2008 is a Mac version and has no VBA, updating tags accordingly
