I agree, you have to remember to update their times before a shoot unless they have GPS built in. Multi-cameras is why I include the camera type in the name though not helpful if you have several of the same type! Of course, even to the second, I can get a name clash so my rename workflow adds a trailing unique letter in that case. Used to use a custom script, now using AdvancedRenamer on Windows.

Can you please add a screen-shot to illustrate?

Done now, enjoy. Prefer to keep it in the answer.

@shirish, sorry - Windows blindness! :} I'll do an update later this evening with some possible tools.

Since Windows switches automatically when you unplug the cable, I can only assume that you mean how do you switch the browser between proxy and non-proxy settings?

comment Creating Directory Dynamically by using Windows Batch File
Not an answer ... but really, these kind of things are much more easily and robustly achieved using more featurefull languages such as PowerShell or Node.JS (JavaScript).

@shirish, EXIF isn't the "latest". EXIF, IPTC and XMP are all current stds. EXIF is mainly about camera metadata whereas IPTC & XMP have far more standard fields available. IPTC in particular is very widely supported and required by many news outlets.

Odd, it doesn't do that on my w8.1 machines.

comment How to strip formatting from a known string
I think it very likely you could work out a regular expression, at least one that hits the majority if nothing else. There are plenty of regex UI's that will help. Then you need a regex search/replace tool that does batches. I think Notepad++ might do it but there are plenty of others.

comment How to bulk rename file in numeric order in windows7
You could possibly do this with a batch script but it would be better with PowerShell. You cannot do it directly. Honestly, you would be better off with a batch renaming tool such as AdvancedRenamer.

comment Is it possible to have a key function as itself when used alone, and as another when used in combination
I wasn't accusing anyone specific, just getting frustrated by anonymous downvoters - a problem that seems to be getting worse on SuperUser. Actually, I'm not really worried by downvotes if my answer is actually wrong, but when people do it anonymously, they don't give anyone a chance to improve the quality of questions and answers.

Do you want to do this in code or are you happy with a tool to do it? There are plenty of those.

comment Can I have 1 4K monitor and 2 1080 ones?
3x4k is an awful load of pixels to control & I'm not certain any current PC/Graphics cards could drive all 3 when gaming right now. Might be wrong though & I'd be interested in some links to anyone who has demonstrated it?

Yes, it is very annoying! I get the same on an old MS Wheel Mouse. If you cancel the installation it generally gives up and doesn't do it again - at least for a while.

SuperUser is getting worse for cowardly (who don't give reasons) downvoters all the time. I've removed my answer which was basically the same as the "one solution" in the question but gave some details on how to achieve it.

Please don't totally change the question and then vote down answers against the previous text! That is just obnoxious.

I don't have this on a W7 PC but it is certainly possible on W8 and I'd be surprised if they are different clients. Settings has a button.

comment Connecting 2 Monitors to Radeon HD 6450
Have you checked you have the correct DVI cable, there are several sub-standards for DVI? Does it work if you only connect that one monitor?
