Can you make absolutely sure that her IP address is shown as the correct country: whatismyipaddress.com - just to confirm only Google is having the problem.

Try going to Google Maps on her Nexus then bring up Settings from the menu that you can swipe from the left. Click the Edit Home or Work option and put in your current location.

@user630574: Perhaps she has configured the devices to use a proxy server in Malta? Check your network settings. Also, have you checked the Region settings in the Windows control panel?

comment AD Block Plus does not block ads
Have you tried manually checking for updates to add-ons by clicking the cog icon in the add-ons manager? Adblock Plus is working fine on Firefox 32.0.3 for me so clearly the current version is compatible.

You could try resetting Firefox which is slightly less drastic than reinstalling it: support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/…. It should back up your profile but you will have to reinstall add-ons.

Try pressing Ctrl + Shift + F for the preferences. Click the Filter subscriptions tab. You should see at least one subscription with the checkbox ticked. Otherwise click Add filter subscription... and choose EasyList.

comment What are the consequences of using a smaller power brick on a laptop?
I think it's safe to say that the outcome will vary depending on the quality of the laptop / power brick but it's probably a bad idea. In theory both devices should be able to cope with this scenario, e.g. in the past Apple used power supplies that couldn't provide sufficient watts for a Macbook Pro at full load and this caused the battery to be drained. But if the power brick is poorly designed / not tested for compliance with safety standards then overloading it could possibly cause it to overheat and cause a fire or something. You certainly need to ensure the voltage is correct at any rate.

comment UPS battery replacement
See electronics.stackexchange.com/questions/100251/… for almost identical question. Using the method described there would indicate around 5.8Ah, however this conflicts with several websites (e.g. newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA19911M9117) suggesting it is 9Ah. I think that manufacturers normally give themselves a lot of leeway when giving such figures.
