comment Why dont the chocolatey install instructions work?
My bash knowledge is a bit rusty, but as far as I know - @command syntax is unique to cmd.exe - haven't seen it in any other shell.

cmd.exe and powershell.exe have completely different parsers. @command syntax works only in cmd.exe, and makes sense only in scripts (.cmd/ .bat) - it would run command without showing it on the screen. That's why this command failed entirely in powershell.exe.

comment Get-Command missing in Powershell after installing Version 4
Did you by any chance installed preview version of WMF on it? I recall something similar to that when I installed final WMF over preview...

comment Powershell 'help' returns nothing
Try Get-Command help and see if there are no aliases defined. Also - try to run PowerShell without profile (powershell.exe -noprofile) and check if same behavior is visible also there.

comment Restoring the Windows Github Powershell shortcut
It should not matter with version of PS you use (x86/ x64), but just to be sure - you can always dot-source script directly from console. Error you get from Import-Module suggests that you are not dot-sourcing script though: . Shell.ps1 has very different effect than Shell.ps1.
