+1 for the formula. Great way to handle it. 0 equates to Jan 0, 1900 in Excel's date-speak. Since Jan 1, 1900 was a Sunday, the day before that is "logically" a Saturday.

OP stated digits. Hence my response. And even if it was characters, since we are dealing with numbers, it is more reliable to validate within a range (unless you need to limit the numbers after the decimal point).

It will require a lot of VBA. Seems like if you are going to invest the time to do this, it may be better to convert the whole thing to a Database. Easier to grow (or stay large with >280k records already) and easier to maintain and send reports from.

This is a great solution for your situation @darasd. The only issue with your requirements is that you can't sum based on color without VBA.

Seems like you should be doing all the heavy lifting in Excel then copying and pasting what you need into an email body. There is no way (that I know of) to embed a working Excel object into the body of an email (outlook, gmail, thunderbird, or otherwise).
