Move the chart to it's own Chart Sheet and see if that fixes the issue.

+1. Cheers, mate. Seems like you had a bad day yesterday :)

comment How do you make a set of cascading dropdown lists in excel?
You are correct in stating that this should be done in a database. The contextures link is great, but as you say has limitations. The main being that Excel is not a Database. I would suggest moving your solution to something more suited towards your requirements.

www.Contextures.com has a page exclusively for this, with a more robust solution than then other answer here. The page is titled "Create Dependent Drop Down Lists" and can be found here.

Your link tells you how to do what you are looking for. Just select Value Filters and enter greater than 1.

comment Why does Saturday show up automatically when I use the “TEXT” function in Excel?
+1 for the formula. Great way to handle it. 0 equates to Jan 0, 1900 in Excel's date-speak. Since Jan 1, 1900 was a Sunday, the day before that is "logically" a Saturday.

comment Check value is numeric and no more than n digits
OP stated digits. Hence my response. And even if it was characters, since we are dealing with numbers, it is more reliable to validate within a range (unless you need to limit the numbers after the decimal point).

You actually can with Array formulas. His application may not work here, but it is possible.

comment Splitting an excel 2010 spreadsheet into multiple workbook files based on column value
It will require a lot of VBA. Seems like if you are going to invest the time to do this, it may be better to convert the whole thing to a Database. Easier to grow (or stay large with >280k records already) and easier to maintain and send reports from.

comment How do I sum across a list of columns defined in an extra column or cell in excel
This is a great solution for your situation @darasd. The only issue with your requirements is that you can't sum based on color without VBA.

comment Is it possible to put a spreadsheet in Thunderbird templates that will calculate?
Seems like you should be doing all the heavy lifting in Excel then copying and pasting what you need into an email body. There is no way (that I know of) to embed a working Excel object into the body of an email (outlook, gmail, thunderbird, or otherwise).

Try recording a macro of you doing this using the filter in E6. Then try modifying the macro to use B1. THEN post here with specific issues you are facing.

Try opening your CSV file in notepad. Does that show the data how you are expecting?

I don't think that custom formatting can change decimal separators.

comment Why Excel doesn't ask(prompt) to Save the file which is modified while closing
I have a feeling it got downvoted because you failed to mention in the question that you had code at all, let alone code that got rid of alerts. Or, that it may be a duplicate as indicated by another comment on your question. Always going to get downvotes if there are other questions out there with answers. Part of the SuperUser experience is that people really like those who have done homework and ask specific questions rather than present very vague issues.

There is a method to return them to normal. You reverse your original code. There is no return all, because one person's "normal" is not going to be the same as another's idea of normal.
