To enable a remote connection to localhost, these looks promising: virtualhelp.me/windows/195-remote-desktop-over-ssh-in-windows-7

That's a nice alternative solution, thanks. Not optimal because it's not working with localhost, but close to what I need.

comment How do you gunzip a file and keep the .gz file?
Ah, thanks Jacob! @paxdiablo, could you edit the answer so it gives an example of the -k function? (savannah.gnu.org/forum/forum.php?forum_id=7623 , paragraph "New features")

comment memory specs say “4 x DIMM Max. 32GB DDR3” - what does this really mean
Disabling pagefile is bad advice, page. You should set min./max. size for pagefile instead. See lifehacker.com/5426041/…

comment Forgot password - Rescue Disk does not work
@EBGreen, Moab: According to truecrypt.org/docs/?s=rescue-disk (especially 3rd point) the rescue disk is able to decrypt the data using the old password. Strictly speaking, this is a security flaw which is why there's a warning about it, but it's possible to decrypt data with an old password (the password used for the rescue disk) indeed.
