comment Surface Tablet can't find wireless router
Also, make sure your router isn't using channels 12-14. Your router may have also switched to a channel with more interference that for whatever reason the surface cant cope with. Use a tool like inSSIDer to see what channel your router is selecting and if it overlaps with neighbors strong channels.

comment How do I search for email on the server in Windows Mail?
not exactly what I was looking for, but I guess storing everything locally isn't as big of a deal for a tablet.

did you restart the command prompt after changing PATH? Do echo %PATH% in the command prompt and make sure the changes took (copy the results here for us). Also what happens if you do C:\Python27\python? Do you get the interactive shell?

comment How I can prevent my headset's microphone from picking up an echo?
Not really, the XP is a work laptop connected through a VPN. My PC can't connect up to the VPN to get onto the phone server.

sadly this mic doesn't work with google voice on XP. Using google voice on my personal PC (Win 7) works like a charm.

@NamPhung I know my internet speed isn't more than 34mbps or I definitely would have bought the faster modem. I don't do any local file sharing.

why is this not constructive? Isn't it valuable information for the average consumer of cable internet?

comment Does adding additional Powerline networking adapters improve overall performance?
The monster powernet 200 documentation claims you should add more adapters to improve overall performance. Whether this is really true or not I'd be interested in knowing in more detail.

comment Why won't my computer connect to a WiFi network?
Could be a million things, neighbor's wifi interfering, bad router, bad network equipment on the laptop. Keep investigating, see if you can narrow down the variables and ask more specific questions about the behavior.

In my question I state that I don't want to change the height of either monitor because they are at comfortable viewing levels.

@music2myear, true, but I got it close enough that I could nudge one monitor up or down slightly to get exact alignment.
