I think I understand. So the rule with the "state RELATED, ESTABLISHED" clause only allows packets that have established a connection with one of the computers behind my router (the ones on my LAN)?

I tried this and it expanded the task bar icons to show everything except the network icon. When I do this it is still greyed out. I cannot see any greyed out icons at all.
