comment Computer hard freezes randomly - possible hardware issue
memtest didn't trigger any issue. The problem still happens, and totally randomly.

comment Avoiding accidental 'rm' disasters
Thanks for the reply. I understand I should use as sudo less often as possible, but I constantly find myself having to remove/move/copy, or to build/compile stuff, or run bash scripts. Most of the time I require to use sudo - is this normal? Or is there a way to give my normal user more permissions?

Any way to make rm display a confirmation dialog for / (root) paths?

comment Curly braces with LCtrl+LShift+LAlt+è - how?
"xte 'str {'" works, but the whole xbindkeys system isn't really reliable. I get different combinations pressing the same keys with xbindkeys -k and I couldn't just get it to work reliably. Any other idea?

comment Curly braces with LCtrl+LShift+LAlt+è - how?
Couldn't get it to work, apparently '{' is minus+parensleft, but it doesn't seem to work properly with xte keyup/keydown

comment Curly braces with LCtrl+LShift+LAlt+è - how?
Seems a good solution, but I can't find the name for the '{' key. "xte 'key {'" doesn't work

@AndreaGottardi: I don't know what command I should type, and googling didn't help. Any pointer?

comment Curly braces with LCtrl+LShift+LAlt+è - how?
@AndreaGottardi: I tried manually changing keyboard mappings, but I couldn't find a way to express the key combination I want. Loadkeys looks like what I tried - I need help figuring out the right command to express the LCtrl+LShift+LAlt+'è' combination.

comment Curly braces with LCtrl+LShift+LAlt+è - how?
@AndreaGottardi: no, I don't want to launch a program with a shortcut. I want to be able to type curly braces ('{' and '}') by pressing the LCtrl+LShift+LAlt+'è' combination, which works on Windows, but not on Linux.

comment Metro apps crash on startup, driver or permissions issue?
@Traples I have no idea. I don't use my computer with other accounts/in a local network so I don't think it will be a problem.

comment Time randomly changing itself, internet randomly dying
My processor is not overclocked. Time randomly changes (hours and minutes). It can go from 11 AM to 5 PM, from 4 PM to 3 AM, and so on.

Yes, I've changed the battery. There is only one battery on my mobo so I assume that's the right battery

Damn. I've ordered my PC parts online and the SSD was already defective. What are the chances? - I will write to the ASRock support team. If anyone has another idea, don't hesitate to post

@Ramhound: how can I gather more information? (is there anything else that would be useful to post in the OP?) I'm scared about it being a defect of the mobo, it would need a replacement I presume.

Checksum is fine. Also, Metro apps worked properly before I messed with permissions.
