comment Can I remove pagefile.sys to save space on my SSD?
It's often recommended to disable virtual memory when using an SSD "cuz SSD is fast!" but this is bad advice. Your applications will crash hard when you run out of RAM, causing data loss. Yes, max out the RAM before buying an SSD to increase its lifespan, but don't disable the pagefile.

comment Virtual Memory and SSD
@Breakthrough But when you disable virtual memory, programs are killed randomly when the system runs out of memory, resulting in data loss. Virtual memory is for preventing this.

comment “Open With” dialog ignores my selection
This fixed it for me. Problem was I upgraded it from 32-bit to 64-bit, so it was looking in Program Files (x86) instead of Program Files

comment Can't “open with” certain programs in Windows 7
Yes, Inkscape can open PDF files. I don't want it to be the default, it just want it to show up in the Open With submenu, but I can't do either of these. It doesn't show up in the list even after selecting it from the list.

comment How safe is it to run CHKDSK on an SSD?
Doesn't wear-leveling make this completely wrong? It might find a bad memory cell but then the SSD will move that area of the filesystem somewhere else behind the scenes. Also doesn't it test for bad sectors by reading and writing data to every point of the drive, wearing it out?

comment Is there a convenient way to edit PATH in Windows 7?
This wants to completely wipe my User Path, presumably because it's all redundant with the System Path? Is that wise?

Is there any benefit to this now over the built-in "Activate Adobe Flash" prompts?
