I'm a consultant for Corporate Technology Solutions, Inc. I work with clients in the financial services industry of southeast Wisconsin. I have a BS in Software Engineering from Milwaukee School of Engineering, where I graduated in 2008 with Honors.

I enjoy web application development, database design, functional and technical design, professionalism, and multi-tasking. I am fluent in C#, VB.NET, Java, JavaScript, SQL, and a myriad of markup languages. In my free time I like to read, work on cars, and contribute on StackOverflow :)

comment Google Chrome is adding a slash to my searches
@Dan: I have submitted my feedback. Strange this about this is if you search initially, let it add the slash, then manually remove the slash it added and hit enter, it will submit the search unmangled as expected. At least, that's what I'm observing.

@Dan: Very recent behavior for me as well, noticed it for the first time maybe 4 days ago or so.

comment new ssd drive - programs on old hdd- easy transfer?
Just reinstall. It's fairly common that configurable program information isn't stored in the program's directory; it's usually in the registry, Common Files, AppData, PATH entries, etc., etc., so usually it's impossible to just copy a program's folder from one place to another.

comment Creating shortcuts to network locations with authentication on a Windows box
@Luke: That might be an option (i.e. mapping drives) if I can prevent it from running on password change days. More than 3 incorrect logins and my account gets locked, and there are definitely more than 3 drives to map. I see you can have it prompt you for a password, but I don't want to type it 10 times. I could probably go with a batch script to collect the password and (re)map all the drives with it...
