comment Is it possible to invert text and background colors in a PDF when printing?
@fixer1234 Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I have added a link to that page on the Internet Archive.

comment How to add colored triangles to the corner(s) of a cell?
I don't think there is a way to do this. Excel reserves the red and green triangles as special indicators and I don't think you can override them.

@Adam Glad I could help! This really bothered me too before I figured out the F2 shortcut.

comment Excel - how to drag down formula while keeping horizontal cell reference continuity
@Tanukiarecool You can replace the A2 with ROW()-1. This means that the row number that the formula is in will be used as the offset (after subtracting 1 from it).

comment Excel - how to drag down formula while keeping horizontal cell reference continuity
@Tanukiarecool You're welcome! I see that you asked about inserting new columns. When you insert a column, if you change the $A$1 in the formula to always point to the cell directly to the left of the first column heading, it will continue to work.

comment Excel drop down list to change data table
I see that you added information about what the matrices look like, but where are they located? Is each one on a separate sheet, or are they on the same sheet?

comment Excel drop down list to change data table
You need to be more specific about the layout of your spreadsheet. Where are the matricies? Where are the scenarios? A screenshot would be helpful. Please edit your original question with additional details.

comment Excel - Count matching Items, comparing a row with a column
@Poolio You could take a screenshot using the Snipping Tool in Windows 7 or higher, and then upload it to an image-sharing website such as imgur.com.

comment Excel 07: Sum Cells of Column B By Date in Column A And Report To Cell C
@Dane I wasn't sure where the actual date criteria are located (corresponding to column D in my screenshot), so that's why I instead provided a simple example that can be applied to any situation rather than writing a formula to accommodate this one specific situation.

comment Excel number format to convert number of month to name of month
This sums it up pretty well. I guess I'll have to use a helper formula in another cell. Thanks.

comment Excel number format to convert number of month to name of month
Thanks, but I would like to be able to do this via a number format directly applied to the cell (applied via Format Cells > Number > Custom).

comment Excel number format to convert number of month to name of month
No, mmm doesn't accomplish what I am trying to do because it interprets the cell value as a date serial number, and returns Jan for all numbers 1-12 (Serial number 1 corresponding to date 1/1/1900 and 2 to 1/2/1900, etc.)

comment Excel number format to convert number of month to name of month
Thanks for this, but it doesn't really answer my question. I already know how to use custom formatting. My question is what custom format can I use to accomplish this. None of the formats in the built-in list or the list in the link you posted can directly convert a month represented as 1-12 to Jan-Dec.

comment Excel number format to convert number of month to name of month
@EricF I have considered a hidden cell, and I will use one if I can't find another solution. I would much rather use a custom format, but I'm just not sure what it should be. That's what I'm asking in my question.

comment Excel number format to convert number of month to name of month
@EricF I see what you mean. The reason is because I have formulas which refer to this cell and expect a number 1-12, but I would still like it to display Jan-Dec. I have looked into custom formatting, but entering "mmmm" just results in "January" as I mentioned in the question. Do you have any ideas regarding a custom format that could accomplish this?

@EricF What additional information do you think needs to be provided? I think the question is simple enough.
