comment How do I copy a list of folders recursively, ignoring errors?
Absolutely exactly what I needed, with a springling of --exclude="<globpattern>" and --delete to keep a try perfectly synched from one project to the next.

It is the Apple Air Display icon; it just means there is an Apple TV or other device in your network that supports acting as a remote display for your computer. It does not mean your computer has been hacked.

@emb1995: I copied the URL from the edit window, pasted it into a new tab, and that loads a HTML page with the image and some UI. That is not an embed request.

Replace tinygrab image pages with images uploaded to i.stack.imgr.com

@emb1995: ah, they are indeed still there; TinyGrab replaced the actual image with a webpage showing the image instead. I grabbed the images from those pages (skipping past the silly overlay) and uploaded them to the Stack imgr host instead.

Could you repair the broken images in this post? Upload them to the SE imgr host (just use the image button on the editor toolbar).

comment IOError: invalid Python installation …/config/Makefile (No such file or directory)
Judging by the path, you used Homebrew to install Python. Did you try reinstalling Python with Homebrew yet? brew uninstall followed by a brew install perhaps?

comment python( x,y) package update for windows?
I tested this against a 2.7.4 installation and the installer warned me it would overwrite the existing install, and everything worked. Are you certain that the 2.7.3 is the Python.org packaging? Perhaps you have the ActiveState Python installer before, or another such third party packaging?

You don't; just run the new installer.

comment Handling MS office documents on Linux without root access
You don't need root access to install binaries, only to install binaries in the /usr/bin and other global locations. Installing them in your home dir is always possible.
