comment High speed, but longer ping times?
"These signals travel at the speed of light, so the distance between source and destination is not a factor." This is only truth for a small part of the path (between the mobile and the BTS). The distance that should be accounted is the topological distance in terms of hops, and that is a factor.

comment How to delete an URL from Chrome's Omnibox suggestions?
@DevinGRhode I don't know about 21.0.1180.89 but I just tried on 22.0.1229.79 and yes, it wors. Sometimes the website still on the list but can be from google search or favorites and not from history.

comment Forgot passphrase for encrypted USB drive
I would do this. But this method won't format the drive, it will just erase it's contents. After this you would be able to format it using the Disk Utility.

@Synetech I'm not a Windows user so I wasn't aware of that. Thanks for the repair.

comment Program's constant
PATH has a list of directories containing binaries. When you try to execute a binary cmd will search for it in the directories specified in PATH. So firefox is not in PATH, but the directory containing the firefox binary must be. Also you should do echo $PATH to see the PATH.

Those are Environment Variables. Also search for PATH, that is also an environment variable and explain why you can do START firefox.

comment Gateway in star topology
@Lescott imagine your "internal" network is 192.168.1.0 and wlan is connected to other network. The default gateway should be the IP address of the ethernet interface in the computer that have the wlan, like 192.168.1.10, and the routing table will look something like 0.0.0.0 192.168.1.10 0.0.0.0 (network next_hop netmask).
