Currently building a web app. I'm at SO/SE sites with the goal of learning something new every day.

Things I like/use include: camelCase, OOP, HTML(5), CSS(3), PHP(5), (My)SQL, PDO, xdebug, APC, XHPRof, Javascript, jQuery + jQuery UI, JSON, redis, Git, PHPUnit, node.js, Twitter Boostrap, Modernizr, Common sense

Things I dislike/don't use include: under_scores, XML, spaghetti code, gotos, architecture astronauts, etc

I also used to do: VB6, VB.NET, C/C++, x86 Assembly, Motorola 68K Assembly; but I forgot most of it since I haven't touched them in years.

Like my stuff? A couple of mBTCs are always welcome: 19xQFJabE9ga4kjnKTV94JTirnjy9TKNN9

comment How can I make notepad++ remember all instances of itself from last session?
Not exactly the "plug and play" I wish it were (multiple instances have to be saved manually, auto-load can only remember one window), but still an improvement over nothing, thank you internet stranger :)

@Chris I see, okay, thank you for replying either way. Guess I'll have to look for a replacement.

@Chris, did you ever find what was the culprit? I'm dealing with a very similar issue and it's driving me insane.

comment How do I stop ssh-agent from forgetting my password after I login to the screen session from SSH?
I'm not a fan of bloating machines installing packages for everything, so I was a bit hesitant about giving keychain a go, but I have to admit I'm happy I made an exception here: keychain does a pretty damn good job at what it does, and it's super easy to set up.

comment How can I bring back the old menu style on Chrome 28 onwards, now that the --disable-new-menu-style switch has been removed?
Do we know whether the style of the menu is hardcoded in Chromium? If only we could edit some custom CSS to change the padding that'd work too.

comment How can I bring back the old menu style on Chrome 28 onwards, now that the --disable-new-menu-style switch has been removed?
I've been using it for a while, the problem is that this switch no longer works in the latest version of Chrome, hence my question.

comment How to revert Google Chrome context menu back to Windows style
I can also confirm that as of Chrome 28 this workaround no longer works. Damn, I really can't get used to that padding.

comment Disabling cache selectively for development on Chrome
This could work, but I was hoping I could find a solution that doesn't involve changing the server configuration for the sake of making it easy switching back and forth between cached/partially cached/uncached, much like one can enable or disable the cache on the chrome dev tools.

comment Phantom clicks on Windows 7, what could be causing it?
Well, this is embarrasing, I should've thought of this from the very beginning instead of assuming it was a software issue. Too much time on the software side of things I guess :-)

comment Are password managers like 1Password trustworthy?
If I may suggest: use keepass + dropbox instead.

comment Is there an effective tab manager for Google Chrome?
You would be surprised how fast does the windows (7) taskbar clutter while working on a large project, even if the windows are grouped by application. If I could show/hide chrome windows on demand I suppose that could also work.

@Nifle I see, I noticed many questions like these in past at SU, hence why I didn't think it was not welcome.

comment Is there an effective tab manager for Google Chrome?
Why the downvote? I did search before asking, the reason I ask is because I could not find any that meets what I describe.

comment Hibernating in Windows 7 (64 bit) will always crash after prolonged use, any way around it?
This didn't seem to fix it sadly :/ I guess the search for a fix continues. I hope you don't mind if I "unaccept" the answer, but I would need to signal somehow this question is still looking for more answers.

comment Google Chrome with real-time CSS editing and save changes back to original file. Is it possible?
@contam this is great, thanks a lot, I guess we should keep up with Google IO chrome related stuff!

comment Google Chrome calling nypost.com every ~5 seconds
Ah, nevermind, I thought I read somewhere it was a tool sitting in the browser listening to ajax requests but it looks more like a traditional firewall.

comment View all USB Drive contents at once
IIRC many hex editors will let you examine the hard disk content at a byte level as is, I would guess some will support usb drives aswell.

That Little Snitch program is quite pointless considering the Same Origin policy, isn't it? I mean, in most cases it is probably ok if google wants to connect with google. (as for your problem either you have a tab or an extension of nypost active somewhere, try restarting as @soandos suggests)
