comment I want the “apache” user to own a dir but other users are adding via WinSCP
also, that "preferences" menu looks a LOT like what is tucked into "edit [Advanced v]" (which IS new, and where I looked) but is DISABLED if you click edit and it doesn't help that winscp.net/eng/docs/ui_pref_commands screenie is no longer an exact screen shot of what 5.5 shows (Panels has been added and export button removed)

I found them after I re-re-looked - they are quite hidden among one of 4 new layout menus.. i.e. to even use this link --> winscp.net/eng/docs/ui_pref_commands <-- they are under [Tools v] (bottom left hand side) [preferences] the "Commands" (under left hand nav)

comment windows 7 virtual wireless adapter keeps going to sleep
thanks, I can shell the dos prompt within VBS script (so it's not seen) - so let me build a VBS script that does this and that can be added as the scheduled task (as I type there is a down server I need to fix but when I remember I wrote what I just said (please let me remember!) I will do it :D - it's a small job)

comment Windows 7 VPN stops web browser
brilliant thing!! this helped me SOOO much! This is critical if you are remote desktop-ing from the net onto a VIRTUAL Guest machine which is in itself in a special 3rd party intranet VPN and the 3rd party VPN network blocks inbound 3389 (as mine did!)
