comment Find multiple matches
I tried everything resembling match, lookup or the like. It appears VBA is the only solution.

Looks like VBA is the way to go. I was hoping there would be a built-in function, but alas.

comment Stream video from one windows computer to another
@terdon that's among the vlc pages that shows how to set up a client to receive a specific stream, rather setting up a client to listen generally for whatever might be sent its way.

@terdon that's the general streaming documentation link. Do you have a specific link for my use case, as I haven't been able to find it?

@BalaSivakumar I hadn't realized WMP would play as many formats and containers, although it does require using codec packs.

@terdon how do you configure a vlc client to play any stream directed at it? All the instructions I see are for the client picking a specific stream to play.

comment N access point connected to G router
Setup works nicely. I set up the new router with another SSID. New router is working as an N access point, old is still on G.

comment LAN speed desktop to laptop much faster than laptop to desktop
@Akash, any suggestions for testing this (that don't require special testing equipment)? Also, any idea why we don't see more reports of this issue, given the number of people who likely are in the same situation?

Also, why would interference, signal strength, etc. affect upload speed but not download speed?

Speed does not seem related to signal strength (as measured by inSSIDer). It seems there is some relation between connection speed (as reported by Windows connection status) and read/write testing, although that could be a coincidence. I'm in an apartment building, and typically can detect 20 APs, so who knows what's interfering. I get about the same speeds at times people are unlikely to microwave or talk on the phone. I'm also getting about the same read/write speed at an RSSI of -25 (next to router) and -45 (farther away on other side of wall).
