Can I disable OS X Lion Autosave and Versions? This must be new in Mountain Lion, yes? I'll give it a shot. Any idea how this will interact if I've already done the terminal commands in the accepted answer? |

Can I disable OS X Lion Autosave and Versions? @user142040 If I remember to try this when I have a working machine (hopefully soon), I will and will report back. I like this idea. I hope it doesn't break the machine.... (consequently any reports from those who have tried it and encountered problems would be appreciated). |

Forcing Lion Finder to open in List View? What if the application dialog defaults to that view but I didn't actually change it? E.g. to the best of my knowledge there's no way for Chrome to prompt for a download location without opening a column view dialog....? |

Forcing Lion Finder to open in List View? I tried this and it worked at first, but shortly thereafter some folders reverted to column view. I wonder if this has to do with selectors in application dialogs (e.g. download, print-to-pdf) defaulting to column view and changing the folder view setting? |
