My name is Daniel Chateau. I am a general help-desk support technician, system administrator for small businesses, as well as a programmer. Most of the time I assist users with day-to-day troubleshooting issues as well as act as a IT consultant for small businesses (primarily medical offices). I began doing various IT-related work at the age of 15 during the late 90's and still actively work in the field doing a plethora of different projects. I primarily work in the Central Florida area, but also provide remote assistance to clients across the country.

Currently learning Python while working on some minor projects to help expand my programming portfolio. I'm hoping to learn a lot from my fellow members here and welcome any critique or constructive criticism from my peers.

Do you have Process Explorer running with elevated privileges? If privileges are not elevated it will mask a lot of file handles.

Clearly you didn't read mine, go search for the directory with Process Explorer open, because that error will not come up unless a file handle is associated with it. Process Explorer can find said handle. As long as there is a file handle on that directory, the issue will not resolve itself.

Load Process Explorer back up and hit Ctrl + F and type in the name of the directory you can not access. This will help you determine what other process has a hold on your DropBox folder.

comment How to disable disclosing a computer name to a network?
Can you be a little less cryptic as to why you aren't wanting your PC name showing? I know you think you're being funny or cute, but it truly is baffling why you are asking this. What is the end goal for this? If you're concerned that much about your machine being seen, don't connect it to the network.

I agree with techie007 about blowing it away if you're going to use a newer version of Photoshop. There isn't a way to do a repair install since your original registry entries will be missing when you redid your Windows installation.

It may be unnecessary to do that, but if the installer won't proceed because of any kind of access denied errors, then you may want to take that course of action, otherwise, just run the installer like you were installing it for the first time and make sure to choose the installation path on the E drive where you want it to install.
