I reread your question, and I think I misunderstood you initially. If you want the CapsLock to do a different keyboard layout 'overlay' while pressing it, then that is indeed very difficult to achieve. No idea how you would do that, sorry.

comment Sql Server Management Studio: Change Prefix or Suffix characters
Do you actually use prefixes/suffixes for your table names ? If so, edit them into your question, please. If not, then it's probably a different issue entirely, like you probably suspect.

comment How do I get to know the PCIe version on my Motherboard?
Well, looking at the PCIe history, you can deduct which (major) version it is by looking at the year you bought the board. If it's before 2007, it most definitely is v1.x

The motherboard is not very recent, as you still have regular PCI expansion slots. This, together with the fact that HP's support page doesn't list the version, leads me to believe that the PCI Express slot will be one of the first generations. Some manufacturers print the PCIe version on the board itself, maybe you can check that ?

comment Windows 7 slowing down during hard drive activity
You're right, of course. Shouldn't be an issue. Another thing to check is your system setting for the swap file (System - Advanced - Environment IIRC). Possibly, it is not set as it should (although this is unlikely).
