comment What's the best way to share files between linux and windows 7 on a dual/multi boot computer?
This is great, but doesn't it use a fair chunk of resources to run VMware and the VM? And isn't a bit of a pain to fire it all up? (Start VMware, start vm, login (perhaps), start Truecrypt, type passphrase. Sure some of these steps can be combined, but it can't really be automated, unless I'm wrong.

Great. I'll have to check that one out myself.

comment Smallest Latex distribution available?
Note that TeXLive 2009 is now out, and can still be run live. Like last year it has a small installer and rough modularity to choose what you want. I'm told that, on Windows MikTeX has a much higher degree of modularity, which may let you get your size down even further.

comment Sharing an encrypted home folder between Ubuntu and Kubuntu 9.10
Right, the Ubuntu docs site has good instructions on adding the Kubuntu to a default Ubuntu (=Kubuntu), and then turning it off at will (back to Gnome, but KDE apps are still available). You may not need a full second install. (Unless, of course, you do...)
