Can I uninstall a program or driver from Windows 7 recovery tools?listsvc is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. I believe that was only in Windows XP. |

Sending special bash characters to a custom function Actually, those stray backslashes are quite necessary to preserve line wrapping in the terminal. |

Sending special bash characters to a custom function Aha! PS1="$(ext-color 172 "$USER") in $(ext-color 172 "\$PWD")" Good call on the backslash :) |

Sending special bash characters to a custom function Hold on... it seems issuing PS1=$(pwd) from the command line works but not putting it in .bashrc. |

Sending special bash characters to a custom function That figures. I was just trying to be fancy. So are you saying it's impossible to send special bash characters to a custom function? |

Sending special bash characters to a custom function Odd - calling pwd from the command line or even echo $PWD displays /home/dave/Code but the prompt is not changing. |

Sending special bash characters to a custom function The first two seem to work. However $PWD doesn't change when I cd. |

How can I prevent an admin user from bypassing K9 Web Protection I'm glad you brought up the whole transparent proxy thing. That's what I was working on before I gave up and resigned to just use K9 because they've already figured all that stuff out. (In fact, it seems like Blue Coat are the only ones who have figured out transparent HTTPS proxying.) Realistically, I don't think it's possible to proxy SSL traffic at all unless you're willing to pay out the ying yang for their enterprise security suite. Anyways, I hit a brick wall on that thread but maybe you could help get me unstuck: superuser.com/questions/532987/… |
