Correction: The answer you provided is deleting corrupted files the way it's supposed to. I don't know why it's throwing errors (so i terminated it early the first few times), but on closer inspection, it's doing what it's supposed to.

I'm not sure, but since I closed everything else that's talking to that directory and still get the same results, I think powershell itself might be locking the files (with the previous commands). Have you heard of that? Thanks.
