comment Does cloning clone also the old MAC address?
A network card is not "just a file inside Linux filesystem" -- it exists outside Linux and will maintain its MAC address, even if you install a different operating system on the computer.

comment how to make ffmpeg convert files and copy to other folder
@chapagain That sounds like you are on Ubuntu, where avconv is replacing ffmpeg. ffmpeg may still be appropriate on other Linux distributions.

comment Can't access my ssh linux server when outside network
Port forwarding looks good. Now, when you are away from home, what IP address are you trying to connect to? 192.168.0.18 won't work. You need the external IP address of your router.

comment Can't access my ssh linux server when outside network
I assume you have a normal ISP and the server at home is behind a router. Did you forward port 22 through the router to your server? Are you using the external IP address of the router when you are away from home?

None of your suggestions improved the situation. I fear this may be some kind of bug in Windows 8.

I added information about the task conditions. I don't see how any of that could be blocking the task.

When you say "a file containing a .zip file", do you mean a .zip file with another .zip file inside?

comment Windows 7 Explorer Preview Pane for zip files
I often find that one's question is not the same as the problem one wants to solve. I perceived your problem to be, "How do I see the contents of a .zip file in Windows Explorer without extracting the contents?" and I tried to solve that problem as easily as possible.

So I see. I was testing from C:\ , and when that is the working directory, %cd% includes the trailing \ .

comment Run different Firefox profiles concurrently?
@Wk_of_Angmar The knowledge base I quoted clearly states that the -no-remote flag should not be used with the default profile. One of your shortcuts should use -P research -no-remote and the other shortcut should have no arguments and will open with the default profile.
