comment What's the Minimum System Spec Recommended For Developer Laptop
PLus I'd strongly recommend a 7200rpm harddisk - makes a huge difference over 5400 or 4500rpm disks!

comment Archive Outlook mail items into SQL Server
Thanks for sharing - I'm still hoping to find a full-fledged solution. I'm amazed there doesn't seem to be anything out there - I would imagine a lot of people are faced with similar situations.

@Scott: you can restore back to that *.bak file you have - no problem. You just won't be able to recover anything that happen since then (that would be in the transaction logs that you purge away)

Thanks, I had my eye on that one, but unfortunately, my local Canon distributor couldn't even confirm that it works with Win7-x64 :-(

@Wil: I tried that too - but when I right-clicked on the .INF to install, it complained that this product didn't support this method of installation or something like that :-(

Thanks for your answer - the Win7 VirtualXP Mode doesn't seem to work on my 3yr old Dell Dimension 9100, so that's out the window :-( I tried to install their 64-bit Vista drivers, but somehow, the install just silently fails and gives no indication as to what's wrong with it :-(

+1 indeed - Canon is pretty bad that way. Makes me wonder if I should be a new WIn7-x64 capable scanner from another vendor....
