comment Is there a way to invert the colors of the images only in Chrome?
I made one that inverts YouTube videos too: javascript:var vids=document.getElementsByTagName("video");for(i=0;i<vids.length;i++){vids[i].s‌etAttribute("style","-webkit-filter:invert(100%)");};

I'm fine with a hack. That seems to work for some images. I'm guessing it doesn't change the images that are part of the style.

comment How do I force windows 8 into 1280x720?
@TomWijsman Did you try that Tom? Because on my computer the arrow keys only take you to the tick marks, which doesn't include 1280x720 (as per the screen shots). Curious how you got it to work like that on yours. Do the arrow key give you single pixel granularity?

@Bob - For some reason that didn't work the first time, but when I tried it again it worked. Thanks!

comment How do I run a Metro-Application from the command-line in Windows 8?
Yeah, it is really annoying. I uninstalled the Metro version of Evernote for precisely that reason.

comment How do I run a Metro-Application from the command-line in Windows 8?
Nope, just tried it. [Ctrl]+[Esc] is the same as [Win], and both just show the Start Menu, which is allows launching any program there - Metro and Desktop alike.

Ah, I was wondering the same thing. Interesting solution. The only problem is if you have two programs with the same name, like both the Metro and desktop versions of Evernote installed. Which gets launched with the above?? There should be another way since Visual Studio can launch the application you are developing.

Nope, see the update I added. You can test it yourself.

comment Where is the Default Program associations stored in the registry?
I saw your edit about it being aliased to classes root. But you are missing the point that somewhere else there is overridden associations that are displayed in the Default Programs list from Control Panel.

I believe that is what HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT maps too. Those store what the assoc command returns. But the override information returned by Default Programs in the Control Panel is different.

Yes, that did it. I had a security issue on the target folder which was causing me grief.
