comment How to eject a disk from a Macbook when it is being used as the boot Disk?
you could also clone the startup-Disc onto a FireWire- or USB-drive and then boot from that one.

Which OS version is the MacBook? As far as I recall there was an option from 10.7 to connect as different user when you open the server entry on the left side of a finder window

Try port 8080. It's above 1024 and has somehow been accepted as HTTP-port

comment Mac Terminal showing bash instead of my username
Looks like installation changed the .bashrc file to get the new python binaries into the PATH variable. And it also seems that during that process either the PS variable has been altered or reset to some strange default. But without more infos as to HOW you installed WHICH version of python it's more like fortunetelling.

comment Force file and sub-directory permissions on OS X server
You have to apply it to all already existing files. Important is that it is applied to the parent folder. Have a look at ideocentric.com/technology/articles/title/osx-acl for more information on apples implementation on ACLs.

comment Managing Subversion installs on OS X
I'd use export PATH=/usr/local/bin:$PATH instead of completely rewriting the PATH-Variable as it leaves a previously altered PATH intact

It's realy hard to comb through those unformated log-files. Can you post them in a more easy to read form?
