comment How do I save a file in a library location other than the default
Where exactly am I supposed to be clicking in again? I can target sub folders of the ones in the library, but I can't select the folders I made into the library itself. eg if my library consists of My Documents and Shared Documents I can expand the library and click on Shared Documents\Sub Folder, but if the default is My Documents, I don't have any way to save directly in the Shared Documents folder.

comment How do I take screenshots in Windows Virtual PC
Left vs Right alt didn't matter. It was running the VM fullscreened that did the trick. Manually cropping one image in paint isn't that bad. Doing several dozen when you need to get the borders correct to the pixel instead of just being close is annoyingly time consuming since it ends up taking roughly a minute per image.

Thank you. Running the VM full screen instead of windowed resulted in the behavior I expected.

comment Is it possible (and safe/reliable/non-damaging) to use a 20-pin ATX PSU with a 24-pin ATX motherboard?
With the potential exception of the CPU none of those are high draw devices. if you had a high end GPU or two each trying to draw 75W from the PCI bus you'd be more likely to get into trouble. The power limits are designed around godbox level systems. Only using the 20 pin plug might cause a slight voltage sag but a drop of .05v on a rail with a 5% tolerance isn't a problem unless you're already right at the margin which is rare unless the PSU is starting to fail or is running near max capacity.

@rlb.usa: Stardock is the company making the app, not an application itself. Most (all?) of their software requires that the impulse client be installed to download it.

comment How do I limit the CPU share of TrustedInstaller.exe on a Vista system
I tested win7 on one of the systems, it's version of Trusted Installer was much better behaved. If nothing else works I might end up recomending for an OS upgrade.

comment How do I limit the CPU share of TrustedInstaller.exe on a Vista system
I found a utility that's designed to cap a processes CPU share. Unfortunately while it works fine on processes I started it can't lock onto trusted installer (running in kernel mode?). deztec.jp/x/05/faireal/BES-index.html

First thing I tried. I don't know why, but even at the lowest priority it was still devouring the CPU and leaving the rest of the system lagged to unusability.

comment How does a hard drive compare to Flash memory working as a hard drive in terms of speed?
I thought the flash drives used in netbooks were all low performing models that only outpaced magnetic HD's in seek time, but still fell behind in transfer speeds. I know SATA ones you can buy aftermarket are much faster than anything else on the consumer market.
