comment How is PNG lossless given that it has a compression parameter?
For PNG, it is quite common to have longer decompression time for better-compressed files. The problem is that with PNG, one possible trick is to apply the compression algorithm over and over as long as the file gets smaller. Once the size increases, you stop applying it. So it's pretty possible that you apply the compression algorithm 5 or 6 times, which means that you have to decompress the file 5 or 6 times to display the image.

comment Does a USB Monitor require VGA Card?
Most linux systems have sshd running -- therefore you can completely control the computer over ssh. This is actually what many people do with their Arduino or RaspberryPi, for instance.

comment tmux vs. screen
Well, tmux sucks with vim, in some cases (mine namely), no solution ever posted anywhere works, and even people spending some time solving the issue of mine weren't able to. It's annoying when you can't use <C-Left> and <C-Right> in vim.

comment Delete / Yank lines from current line up to and including line containing search pattern
Well, you seem to know that this is off-topic here. We generally seem to accept editor-related questions only when they have a direct connection to LaTeX in any sense. This is not your case, since, if I understand it correctly, you want to grab whole lines starting where you are and ending at the second match for some string. Anyways, V/ar}<CR>nx should do the job.

comment vim inside tmux: throws “E388” with <C-Left> in insert mode
@romainl Ok, so I have seen the two answers in the other thread and as well the post linked in the second of them, but none of the solutions work for me. What can I do now?

comment Generate PDF that is not editable
@Brent.Longborough I cannot agree I think. It is portable (i.e. working on all platforms including xindles) and it's well scalable. And it's what people like the most when they want a "document".

comment Generate PDF that is not editable
There are methods that makes the PDF print a completely black page for the normal user. I know that some scientific journals do it to allow people to see the article, but not to print it. Still, even this can be cracked, it's the same as making it "non-editable".
